I bought a condo two years ago and inherited a washer and dishwasher. I'll give the model and serial numbers; can someone tell me how old they are?

Whirlpool Washer Model LSL9345EQ1, Serial CG4010060

Kenmore Dishwasher Model 587155702, Serial 129358 1184

Thanks in advance for the info.

Kenmore d/w is a D&M design...last 4 digits of serial # are month and year of mfg...so Nov 1984. First 3 digits of model # are a source code....587 is Design & Manufacturing Co. They were a dishwasher company that manufactured for private label brands, such as Sears Kenmore.

D&M Company

Thanks Coldspot for the explanation about the date and about D&M company. I've used older KM DW's that looked the very same inside. I've also used in the late 1970's Caloric DW's that also looked just the same inside and out. In the middle 1980's I lived in a rented condo in DC (foggy bottom area) and these were studio condo's so were small. In the kitchen was a Caloric unit that consisted of an electric range top, and an oven up above. Instead of an oven below, there was a dishwasher which looked just the same as all the other Kenmores and Calorics that I had used up to that point. I've never seen anything on this forum about those. If that unit had to replaced, it would require a total remodel of the kitchen (which was like a large closet).

Courtney, yes the Caoloric would look like the Kenmore, it's also a D&M design. And that all-in-one stove/dishwasher, the dishwasher was able to be removed and replaced with another unit.

All in one unit

That's very kewl. Could all three parts be replaced seperately? I guess the oven above would be a problem.

The cooktop & oven are one unit, cannot be separated.

Year Washer was made

Can anyone tell me how old the Washer is? I got the info on the DW and can see clearly that it's an 84. I don't see a clear picture on the washer--except there's a 93 in the model #.

Thanks
Courtney

Courtney, I sent a reply on 3/19 to your question about F&P washers that I received on 3/18. You provided two ReplyTo addresses in the original message, I replied to both. One was the @yahoo.com address. The other is an @adelphia.net. One of the two addresses bounced undeliverable, I don't recall which. I've resent the reply to the @yahoo.com address.
