My teachings show death as perhaps better than life- there is only love there. May you both be here with us as long as possible in each-other's love; and may every moment be as joyous and painless as possible.

Blessing for those who have fallen asleep:

O God of all spirits and of every flesh, Who did trod down death and overcome the devil, bestowing life on this Your world, to the soul of this Your servant (Name), departed this life, do You Yourself, O Lord, give rest in a place of light, in a place of green pasture, in a place of refreshment, from where pain and sorrow and mourning have fled away. Every sin by him (her) committed in thought, word, or deed, do You as our Good and Loving God forgive; seeing that there is no man who shall live and sin not, for You alone are without sin. Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and Your Law is truth; for You are the Resurrection, the Life, and the Repose of Your servant (Name), departed this life, O Christ our God; and to You do we send up glory, with Your Eternal Father and Your All-Holy, Good and Life-creating Spirit; both now and ever, and to the ages of ages. Amen.

Hairy and Terry, there is nothing to fear. Make sure that your physicians give you what you need for pain. There is no pain or punishment on the other side except the regret we feel for not being the best we could be and for having done wrong to others. Those who have mostly spread love will feel a lot better than those who have spread hate. I was blessed with a near-death experience. It was the most fabulous experience I have ever had. I have no fear of my transition or "promotion." There are many books about near-death experiences now, so do some reading of the reports from those who have been where you are enveloped in love and have the opportunity to communicate face to face with The Supreme Being. If you need titles, let me know. And, don't fear that you will have to lose communication when one of you is there and one of you is still here. Fear Not! Best wishes, Tom

Steve, that prayer that you offered was amazing. Is it Eastern Orthodox (Greek, Russian, etc.)?

Re: Kevin and Terry:

My Prayers and Thoughts are with both of you as well. Keep on Hugging and certainly Loving Terry and know that you are both so special to each other as well as with all of us too.

We all are as supportive as we are able to be, as far as we live from each other, but your both not that far, when we can write to each other either through the Club Site or E-Mailing.

Know that your both Loved and surrounded my Friends, even if we aren't right there with you in person.

Peace, Love of Friendship and Hugs, Steve

Gone From My Sight

I have carried a poem for many years and thought that you may both get a bit of comfort from it. It has helped me several times. Blessings to you both during this natural experience!

I am standing upon the seashore. A ship at my side spreads her white sails to the morning breeze and starts for the blue ocean. She is an object of beauty and strength. I stand and watch her until at length she hangs like a speck of white cloud just where the ocean and sky come to mingle with each other.

Then someone at my side says: "There, she is gone!"

"Gone where?"

Gone from my sight. That is all. She is just as large in mast and hull and spar as she was when she left my side and she is just as able to bear her load of living freight to her destined port.

Her diminished size is in me, not in her. And just at the moment when someone at my side says: "There, she is gone!" there are other eyes watching her coming, and other voices ready to take up the glad shout: "HERE SHE COMES!"

That is dying.

heart felt thanks

Just to say a heart felt thanks, all the supportive messages you have left me. Its great to know that people out there do care, Thanks Bob I did get your message. Terry has been to my home this evening and after some delicious chinese take away food, he fell sound asleep with the resulting resounding snoring. I let him sleep. As time went on it was time for him to go home, with an ache in my heart I had to wake him. He was so deep in slumber he did not know where he was or what day it was, I can say now guys I have accepted that the good lord is going to take him. I am ready for that day now, he is suffering now I love my dad bear I have said I love him till death us do part I love him I will support him till the good lord decides to take him to his side I need strength now HBMUK

HBMUK, But love does not stop at death, nor does death stop love. Love is eternal, because the Source of love is eternal. Love is the one thing that can connect this world to the world to come. We know it's not as satisfying as having them and holding them and hearing their voice and laughter, but all you have to do is picture yourself hugging your departed loved one and they receive your love.

Oh man, so sorry to hear the news. It's the saddest of all times when someone you love with all your heart is expected to leave this world early.

Tom is right: love does not stop at death, nor does death stop love. His words speak for me about this.
