It looks like it was kept covered in a climate controlled storage area. Look at how clean it is and how that metal shines!

MY, MY, MY!

What is it lately with all this stuff showing up in purdy PANK all of a sudden?

Two complete kitchen cabinet setups from decent sized kitchens. A PANK Whirlpool WD set. A few other things I can't recall right off the top of my head.

And now this MT Wringer in PANK

Are we headed back to the PEPTO PANK era or what?

That's a whole lotta pink, but I'll bet it would be a good way to take anyone doing laundry off the sauce the night before washday.

Wringer housing looks white in one of the close-ups?

That one wringer shot caught my eye, as well, stainfighter. I was wondering about that. Does anyone know if they made this model in pink? As far as I'm concerned...hubba hubba, bring on that pink little tub-a. She's a beauty. But $500, while fair for a museum quality piece, is out of my league.

I think the pink wringer appearing white in the mentioned photo is lighting and variance of our monitors,  it had a gray look on this monitor..  I don't know for sure. Do you think pink would of still been an offered color  by the time the turquoise wringer release and agitator came about?  I have seen avocado green with the turquoise wringer release and agitator. I suspect the one in question on this thread has been painted and polished.  Never the less a good job.  Totally a guess from memory but I think the pink would of had the earlier red release?  If Painted and polished it is still a well done job. alr

You know I think you are right about the paint. The Maytag logo doesn't look like to correct one for a machine of this era either. I think that the handle and the control on top of the wringer should have been a different color originally.

I think this unit needs to be examined in person by one of our experts.

I've seen

the pale pink ringers in the barrel shaped Maytag ringers. In fact there's one for sale around here somewhere in beautiful condition with a chrome wringer arm on one of the Michigan craigslists. But it's $350. It's also in beautiful condition as I recall. I think someone posted it on here.

They not only made them in pink, there was an avocado green Master in the showroom window of some farm/propane supply store around the Chesapeake Bay back in the 80s. Like this pink one, it was a whole lotta green up on those legs. It seemed more massive than a usual washer or dryer. Maybe it was the shock of seeing something that is almost always white in that color.
