Back from the days when you had only 1 choice. If you wanted Cascade, this is what you got. No variants, just the plain product. If you wanted to use Electrosol, that's what you got. No choices as to what variant you really need. |

I love the video "inside the KDS 15". Would be great if the camera could pull back a little, so we can see both racks. And with a full load inside too. |

I do remember SOS auto dishwasher detergent for a bit. I don't think it lasted very long though. |

Then as now Monsanto is great at coming up with chemical concoctions, it is the sales and marketing to domestic consumers they cannot be bothered. That is one of the reasons they sold off All detergent to Lever Bros, which after a nasty anti-trust battle (LB won) went through.
IIRC from reading various Monsanto patents on line the same "low" or "controlled" froth properties wanted for All detergent was what is needed for automatic dishwashers. So after developing a low froth laundry product it seemed natural to go after the dishwashing market. All laundry detergent was saved by being nabbed by Lever Bros, don't think anyone wanted the dishwasher version. |

of phosphates, HOT water, and LOTS of it. Result? Clean dishes and it didn't take 3 hours to do a load either. |
