Sounds like more corporate feces being spread around.

IME GE was usually the brand people bought when they didn't know or care what brand they bought. That's not to say the company made bad appliances, or that they have no loyal following, but so far I've not seen any outpouring of grief over this sale, beyond the fact it's one more chunk of America being sold to foreign interests, same way our Kenmores and Whirlpools suddenly became LGs and Samsungs.

Just makes me mad.  Will be less choice options in the market.

"Partner"? "We"? "Our"?

Does that mean like if you sell your used car you remain a "partner" with the new owner?

At what point does execuspeak become so absurd that NOBODY is stupid enough not to see through it? Isn't this that point?

Unfortunately that young man really looks like too nice of a person to really be "the one in charge"!!!!

Any wonder why what used to be "we" or "us" has become "they" and "them"????

"Cold Corporate Dealings"...!!!!

If he can sell that, you would think he would be better at selling appliances.

Except

He doesn't have to worry whether he can sell it, because this is something they are going to do, so it doesn't matter if people buy into it.  They are going to do it.  It is also interesting how he says they will continue to stand behind their warranties and behind GE appliances.  Of course all of this even though it is now another companies business responsibility.

You can be sure none of the employees believe this because if you are an employe of a large corporate company this Corp Talk has been going on for at least a decade or more.

What the employees are probably thinking right now is. . ."How long

can I draw Unemployment?"  "If they don't shut down all the plants, how much of a pay cut will I have to take?"  "Am I too old to retrain?"  "Am I too young to retire."  "What are the winning lotto numbers for Saturday?"

BULLSHIT! Those of us who understand such things know this is just another chapter in the destruction of american industry. It is also another measure turning current appliance offerings into even flimsier overpriced junk.
