Six years ago,I went to Smith's to see if anything interesting was in their yard or store. As I was leaving, a truck from Lowes dropped off a Miele Touchtronic washer and matching dryer. Both had risers but,not having house power , I decided to take the washer only. I should have gotten both but the dryer is long gone. My washer is the W4840 water proof system. It had been stolen but,I got it back. I had removed the button catcher and without it,it leaks like a gusher. So,whoever stole and sold it got.bb arrested and prosecuted and got it back last March. Whoever moved it,grabbed the drum to hoist it into the truck causing the drum to begin scraping against the boot. My friend,Bob,a local repairman was repairing my LG Tromm that got overhauled and fixed the Miele too. No charge extra. Because the washer has the self closing drawer,I might get one for the dryer. The dryer was never used and still on the crate it came on. I got it for a steal!! In fact, the original asking price was reduced TODAY!! I'll get some pix and send them as son as we pick it up. I'm real excited. My lanai is getting to become more of a real laundromat then just a cute patio!! I will be repairing the Westinghouse. I ordered the hubcap shaft to take care.of the barings that are, more then likekly, rusted out making the scraping noise during the spin. That ones a keeper. My two Easy spinners are in poor shape as well as my A107. They'll be missed but never forgotten. I'm selling the Amana( $350 for a nice Samsung made front loader) and running more faucets and drainage on the other side across from the house rear enterance.
