round-up of beautiful Kitchenaids. I don't remember which link I read it on but I forgot which model started having the washer arm under the top racks as well. My KDS 16 has only the bottom one. Did it start with the 18's? |

...probably has issues. Notice the large amount of rust at the bottom of the panel and along the top of the bottom panel. My KDI-15 has a little along the top in the same general area which appears to be from a dying door seal or the rubber gasket that sits directly behind that bottom plate. This looks much, much worse. And there are no interior shots. CLICK HERE TO GO TO bluejay's LINK on eBay |

The extra "S" indicates a stainless steel tank. This would be somewhat rare as not many people would pay the extra $$ for this upgrade (& not really necessary since KA tanks had a very durable finish). Hope som one can save this. (Kevin?) :) |

Here's a mystery photo - can barely see it's' a Kitchenaid, no clarity, stored in the basement - maybe more like the Mammoth Cave. Why no interior views? How long stored iall its life? Does it work w/o leaks or other problems? I love the Craigslist sellers. Leaving everything to your imagination, including the asking price. ;-)
" Dishwasher, unplugged entire life, stored in basement. $100.00 or best offer."

thanks Gan -nearly passed out watching that scene and still get a long laugh from it. I thought the sister-in-law locked it, just to keep him out of the laundry room. I'm not familiar with any washer that locks - and fyi, that would be me getting physical and throwing a few choice words out, for good measure.

Thanks for the heads-up on that KDS-15!
There is New News on my search for the elusive pink control panel - Alan bigalsf found one for me, and shipped it to me this week, complete with the cycle controls and the door latch handle. So, I'm good, and thanks very much for keeping your peepers peeled! It has been a LONG search. There's a thread on it in Imperial. |

According to the sheet of KitchenAid production dates I have (reproduced below), there was not a 13 series; the numbering went from KD-12 right to KD-14.
The superstitions about the number 13 are probably the reason. There's many a building that does not have a thirteenth floor. While the people at Hobart may not have been superstitious, they were selling to a public that has many superstitious members. There's no reason to shoot your sales down with a "13" model number if it can be avoided. This post was last edited 12/04/2014 at 11:30 |

Thanks for the clarification Bob, and also for the additional info on the Imperial and Custom models as well. My sister and a friend both had the Imperial models that had the extra button. |

ad: " Title says it! Older K-A dishwaher that works fine and has all the racks still inside. Could use to be cleaned up but perfect for a second home, cabin or a replacement. Pulling it out now, will be sitting in kitchen tomorrow morning as i already have another to replace this one. Lower trim part is missing, but it was finished in with wood and 1/4 round for a consistent look. Call/text thru contact tab, $20. Hate to set it out for bulk pickup, let me know if you are interested, thanks!"

" KitchenAid Regency Portable Dishwasher.
This dishwasher is amazing and is in excellent condition. It works just as well as a regular dishwasher and the fact that it has a butcher block top makes it awesome for small kitchens by giving you extra counter space without sacrificing space for dishes--It holds the same amount of dishes as a standard dishwasher. The dishwasher is on wheels and is very easy to move around your kitchen. It plugs into any electrical outlet, and then there is a retractable hose that you can attach to your sink when you want to use it. We have an adapter that allowed us to connect it to our sink (we just got it at Lowes). I'll include the adapter and hopefully it will work for you too--if not, you can get one easily at any home improvement/hardware store. This dishwasher was my savior while I was living in a studio apartment, but now I have moved into an apartment with a built-in dishwasher and no longer need it. Here are the dimensions: 35.5 inches high, 24 inches deep, and 24 inches wide. The dishwasher is really heavy. You'll need a truck or van (likely with the seats removed). You'll also need at least one other person to help you load it (I'm afraid I won't be of much help). A dolly or hand cart would probably be your best bet. Asking $250 cash only. Please contact me if interested. Thanks!" CLICK HERE TO GO TO ovrphil's LINK on Raleigh Craigslist |
