The MSDS looks exactly the same as the discontinued phosphate laden
Cascade. Just wondering if anyone has gotten some yet to try.

For Comparison Sake, here is a MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) for the new product.

and here is one, for Cascade Professional. Be sure to scroll all the way, to the bottom.

Notice something similar?

I ordered a case (6 boxes) of boil out for specific use in the older whirly pool w the short unheated main wash. Great results! Also worked well in the heated wash KA. -appears to be the same w/o the fragrance..

I've been using boil out for a couple weeks. Seems to be the old phosphate Cascade Commercial in a new box. A few comments:

-It's bleach rather than enzyme based. The best enzyme formulas are better than bleach for stuck food removal.

- Cloudy glass items need to be cleaned by a weak acid (vinegar or citric acid) before the benefit of returning to a phosphate detergent will be seen in full. This detergent will probably eventually remove all film, but few people will be satisfied waiting.

This product is a big step forward in rinse, and a half step back in cleaning stuck food compared to top of the line phosphate free Cascade and Finish. For me that's a good tradeoff.

A good price for a case of the bigger size delivered is about $65. That's about 32 lbs of detergent. It has about a two year shelf life under good (non-humid) conditions.

Can you let us know nickers where you are able to get it at $65? The lowest I've been able to find was a few web sites listing it at $79.

been using it for a month now

Works great in my KDS18!!! A couple tricks for the really baked on stuff....... I use the soak and scrub cycle and throw and enzyme based finish gel pack in the bottom of the machine instead of filling the 3rd cup. This seam to soften the baked on stuff then the boil out takes over in the pre and main wash. Any other cycle I just fill the pre and main wash detergent cups with Cascade boil out and results are fantastic!!
