Just heard from my sister who has had this machine for a year that it's died. It was at home for 9 years until we got a new Hoover machine. It cost about £450 back then from the local electrical store & has had minimal repairs for the amount of washes it has done. Brilliant machine.

What actually caused the death?  Electronics?

Apparently it just started smoking when it was washing.

Hopefully you should aeg, how old is yours?

Hope it lasts you well, they're good machines, but to be honest I prefer the newer Hoover Dynamic we have.

I cant see myself going back to belt drive, yes, I have other belt drive machines, but this LG is just in a league of its own! so smooth and quiet!

I used to love going to Currys where they had a clear version of lg direct drive machines, they were so cool explaining how it worked.
