The hotel where I work has a 24 series KitchenAid that nobody really uses. I've been thinking that it would be fun to see if I could swap the thunderbolt arm in my Ultra Wash for the coveted Hydrosweep in the KitchenAid. Even though mine was a tower feed model, the rubber boot with the jet for the upper wash arm fit just fine with the Hydrosweep. The transplant wasnt as smooth for the KitchenAid, since my thunderbolt arm doesn't have the mesh guard or the backwash holes, but it will be fine for a few days. Haven't washed a load yet with the Hydrosweep, just ran a rinse cycle. It certainly changed the sound of it! I'll to see if I can buy a Hydrosweep like this one now that I know it works.

It makes perfect sense because of the design of the two machines being nearly identical. I've thought about buying the HydroSweep for my PowerClean since the fittings are perfect for it. You'll have to keep us posted on how it performs!

wash arm

I have been using the hydro sweep arm in a Kenmore ultrawash for about three years, first with the tower feed, and next with a direct feed power filter, both gave great results, and yes, it sounds quieter with that arm...I had to make sure I used that thin teflon washer between the boot and arm assembly, i think it helped the rotation of it.I dont think I could stand using any tall tub machine...

We have lots of these arms laying around, if anyone needs one I will send it for postage and handling. There is no demand for them as they never wear out, unlike the Hobart style 4WHS arms where the bearing and Bakelite hub wear out.
