I need a new dishwasher and found one of these on CL locally. It's a small one, I'm assuming 18" cab. Seller says it was not used much, looks decent from the pics on CL, any major known issues I should know about?

Shields

Make sure that the lower wash arm has the metal shields on the underside to protect it from the heating element. If not, the plastic arm can become brittle. Eventually failing with a result of water being sprayed outward and under the door flooding your kitchen.

That sounds like an easy way to mop the kitchen.....:)

I assume parts should still be available for this unit if the shields are missing?

24"

That's a full-sized 24" portable. They work all right; I kind of enjoyed the alternating wash-arm sound.

Make sure the racks aren't atrocious. The one I had was pretty rough.

Yea racks were cooked. Ended up with a 05 ge Nautilus. Same price better racks. Runs great. Thanks for all the input!
