How do you determine the age of a Kenmore washer?
I know it's an early 80's by what the owner's tell me.
Model is a "Heavy Duty 70" (has a yellow agitator)
Serial # is 11.82071110
Stock # is 20711
Is it the Serial # that tells us the year?

It's not working well-agitator doesn't rotate much and is this belt or DD? Worth repairing? Dryer works like a champ!

Want to be able to say repair or replace!!
Thanks for all the info I get here on a daily basis!
Greg

I'd like to know mine also

I posted a message a week or so ago to see if anyone knew the age of my WP Washer and did not get a response.

Model LSL9345EQ1

Serial CG4010060

I'm wondering if it's a 93, those are the only numbers that I can put together.

LSL9345EQ1 is probably 1996.

Either that, or LSL9345EQ1 would be about 30 years earlier, but the rest of the model syntax doesn't match what was used then.

Thanks DADo--I thought it was about 10 years old give or take.

Kenmore model # SHOULD be 110.XXXXXXXX. Used to be the first numbers after the period were the model year.
