Michael, you took most of the words right out of my mouth.  But I was gonna say   "oooh it's got buttons, GRAB IT".  Kinda jealous!!  Too many non-button RRs were sold.

Great find!

Are the direct drive machines quieter than the belt drive reverse racks?

MT RR DWs

Hi Brent, yes the DD RR MT DWs are much quieter and MUCH more reliable, but they still make a really loud noise as they start to drain.

It had a clog in the drain. Then it got throw off a scrap truck, which banged up the motor. It was probably fine until the damaged motor. I want to swap out the motors with the other one I found because this one is better than the other, both in terms of condition and buttons!

Does it leak?

Did the clog get removed? From the pics, it's difficult to see damage.

Bob and I apparently like buttons!!. Yes buttons are good. Temp Boost is great!

It looks very nice and clean.

John,

Thanks!  I did wonder if the drain offered a little less decibels in the drain.

I actually love the sound of this vintage Maytag Dishwasher washing.  I always thought it sounded like a washing machine washing clothes with a very fast agitation.  It is a very soothing sound.

I agree. I love the sound of the Maytag belt model dishwashers. And then the sound of the centrifugal switch when the motor coasted to a stop. AHH!

yes, it leaked from around main seal and the motor sounded like a train.

Nothing beats a Maytag Reverse Rack-NOTHING!

The capacity.
The flexibility.
The performance.
The SOUND.......
You knew there was a lot of washing action going on in there!
And everything always came out spotless.
LOVE those RR Maytags-especially the belt driven models and would love to finally have one again.
Ahhh, someday.........
