This is my weekend find and cute story to go with it, 2 weeks ago i answered an ad on Craigs list for an older G.E. washer When i arrived at the home i was amazed how nice the washer was i was told it was bought in an estate sale from an elderly women who hardly used it, it looked like it was never used super clean it`s an early 70`s filter flow, but was missing the mini basket!!! so i had to have it.While i was loading the washer in the truck the guy told me to keep in touch as they do a lot of estate Sales. I told him i was mostly interested in older washers and dryers in Colors and he just laughed and said gee we just did a sale and there was an Old Green washer there that No one wanted and the control dial was broken so we just left it at the house, i said gee too bad i would have bought it, so he said he would try to call the new owners and see if they wanted it and let me know .Well a few days ago he called an said the new owners gave the machine to the salvation army or goodwill he din`t know which one because they din`t tell him. He said sorry and that was that.Well most people would have forgot about it but i decided to go thrift store shopping up in that area of town i went to 3 goodwill stores and 2 salvation army stores and NO green washer just as i was walking out the back door of the last salvation army store what do i spot in the in-coming stock room The Green washer with the broken plastic dial !!! I inquired about it and they said it just came in and was not tested and they were having a sale and needed the room and if I took it right now as-is i could have it for $50.00 !! Needless to say i couldn`t get it in the truck fast enough So here it is a Whirlpool 2 cycle with the pull out lint filter and surgelator agitator in beautiful avocado Green and it works perfectly what a find !!!

$50.00 untested? Well, they have nerve if nothing else. Glad you got your washer.

We had this exact model in my house when I was younger, and when we sold the house, the washer stayed.

Ours was white. Great machine.
