I really love the look of old washing machines especially the lighted ones. The issue being is the duct work for my dryer is in the floor rather being in the wall, therefore many dryers simply do not work with my home .. Plus I paid good money for this dryer lol .. How odd or strange do you think it would be if a 1970's washing machine was sitting next to it?

Not strange at all! Each machine provides its own benefits, so enjoy the characteristics you like in a vintage washer along with your newer dryer.

If the vent comes out the back on the newer dryer, and then goes down, you can still use a vintage dryer, as long as it vents out the back.

There is nothing "set in stone" anywhere that stipulates that you must have a matching washer to your dryer. Your laundry appliances should be what you are happy with. If one is different from the other but you are happy with how those machines perform than go for the gusto and let them reside side by side with pride.

There are many many homes across our great land that do not have matched sets. Don't worry....you will not be alone.

LOL-- ENJOY YOUR MACHINES AND BE PROUD!
