I spent two weeks in Holiday, Florida. I came across ABC used appliances. They had a long line of harvest gold Kenmore washers outside. By the time I ditched my relatives and went for a look they were all gone.
I did get a chance to check out the store. The old stuff they said they keep for parades. I have never been that close to a Maytag wringer washer. They are smaller than what I imagined.

That Frigidaire dryer is 1959, not 1958.

ABC

So glad someone else got to see that place. Been stopping there for years even before I moved permantly from Boston. Glad you saw it.

For parades?

What do they do with the old appliances in a parade?  You can imagine what's going through my mind.

Location,Location,Location!

Maybe Bright House Networks should feature it on their "Florida on a Tankful" series!

Thanks for the neat pictures.

A Filtrator dryer in Florida! Now that would be the height of frustration.

I don't know what you mean about the Maytag wringers being smaller than you imagined, but if you are talking about height, the legs are adjustable to make the machine taller or shorter, depending on the height of the user or tubs, etc.
