I never knew there was a Zenith washer and dryer. Anyone know anything about them? |

I was surprised at that too... I'm guessing they badge-engineered them. |

Most likely the reference is to the POD today with the Model 300 and 400, a matched washer and dryer with "exclusive push-button controls". I'm not sure who actually made these but no doubt someone more knowledgeable will chime in. |

I've never seen a Zenith up close, but I found a lot of information at the Beatty Brothers Archives near Fergus, Ontario that would suggest that the Zenith was of a similar design to the unusual Dominion automatic that I have. I saw old parts breakdown lists for the 1957 and 1958 washer lines that included a 'Zenith' , 'Beatty', or 'Dominion' nameplate.
IF there really is a link, the machine would be based on a one-off Easy patent. As far as the Canadian machines go, Beatty dropped the Dominion brand name in 1961 and their 1962 and later washers were based on a Blackstone design.
Here's a link to a thread of mine where I learned (the hard way, of course) a lot about the Dominion:
