Is this a desirable machine? Only you guys know for sure! The link is for the machine in Lady Lake but there seems to be an identical machine in Jacksonville as well. Is it reasonably priced as well?

It's a genuine Speed Queen but I wouldn't pay more than $100 for it. Looks a little rough, probably needs a new drive belt and there appears to be a spot of rust at the lid hinge. Offer $75 for openers.

How grotty and grimy. I'd be embarrassed to put pictures of my stuff in the public domain if it looked like that.

That was the exact machine that we replaced with our current Speed Queen AFN 50R model. That washer NEVER gave our household a day of trouble in 6 years. The only the reason we got rid of it was because our ADE 40 model dryer gave out on us. I posted ours for 150 dollars on the Boise Craigslist and the people that bought it gave me an extra hundred saying the machine had great reviews in consumer reports and couldn't afford a new Queen. I had to adjust the water level because it wouldn't fill all the way full on extra large setting.

I do agree about the other posts about the pics of that machine. Ours was clean and well kept.

Those photos are nothing compared to some of the crap, rusty appliances people post on Craigslist, describe as in "good" condition and ask top dollar prices.

That SQ should clean up nicely, but bargain hard, especially when the seller is open to offers. On the other hand it could be sold already, used SQ's don't come up for sale too often
