I have company visiting this month which means extra of everything, laundry included.  These three gals have been busy lately and they make keeping up with all the wash a breeze.

Nothing like thumping through mounds of laundry.

I can only imagine what it sounds like with all three of them running.

Like a Symphony.

what a beautiful collection

Nice when American products were king of the hill. love the style these machines have, as well as the performance.

it kinda looks like they are posing & extending their arm out to the one next each other.

very nice picture. would love to see & hear a video of all 3 thumpin' away. i can't remember seeing my grandma's "thumper" in action. but i know i must of because i remember the agitator bouncing up & down. but i don't remember the sounds or anything else.....

:o/

so if you make a video of your three frigidaires in action at the same time, be sure to let us know!!!

;o)

The machine in the middle...

My grandmother had one like this in her vacation house, the maid overloaded it and killed it in the early 70's but the only thing I remember is the knob on the bottom that controlled the dial on the top, What years did Frigidaire have controls like that? I can't place other parts of the console so I don't know if that was the only console design they had?

Side Opening TL Washer Lids

A disadvantage ?, well only if they are the limp type side opening lids that can't stand on their own, LOL.

Great collection Joe, thanks for sharing.

I just noticed something ! Yours is the very first window lid machine in poppy I've ever seen in 30 years of searching !!!!

I have a white lid I have to paint for my machine.

WOW is that machine a "T" model??

Thanks for the compliments guys!  Yes the Poppy 1-18 is a T W3T-2.  I have the matching dryer to go with it, they both came from Mark's place.

Coincidentally both Rapidry machines went down two days apart the clutches are out on both of them.  I have to get time to find out what's going on and adjust them.  I've decided to have a fabricator build me a clutch adjusting tool, I'm tired of removing pumps for a simple adjustment.

Poppy Window Lids

Jon my Custom Imperial 1-18 in poppy has a window lid in the W Va house if you would ever brother to come visit, LOL, I also have a Terracotta window for a 1-18 but no Terracotta washer to go with it, the TC lid came from the Aberdeen Farm in SD.

I think Frigidaire had those offset controls 64-66' or somewhere around that time.
