Can you post any pictures of your work so far? The PowerClean I rebuilt had a stuck drain impeller. I had to chisel it off and just replace all the impellers entirely, and then wire brush and sand the motor shaft because of the corrosion that had developed between two pieces.
Have you tried getting a small hammer and -lightly- tapping the top and sides of the shaft itself? That may disturb the stuck corrosion just enough that you can pull it off. This was the case on the first PC rebuild, but sadly not on the machine I rebuilt for myself. If all else fails, RepairClinic may be a good start for parts; I've had good luck with them, and anything you order has a 365 day no questions asked guarantee. Ebay may have a spare impeller kit as well. |

Normally you have to break the drain impeller off ,a new drain impeller comes with the new water seal anyway. You probably will need to remove rust from the motor shaft with a file, you need to make sure that the new DI slides on and off the motor shaft easily.
GEs motor shafts were also just steel and often rusted very badly and we would have to use a good file on the shaft before installing a new seal and impeller. |

No DW with a steel shaft has water in contact with the shaft till the seal fails or the impeller cracks etc.
I have seen GEs tiny 1/4" side-winder motor shafts so rusty they break off, LOL. We usually have to take a file and grind all the rust off to rebuild a GE DW pump and motor, I do this with the motor running. |
