I'm cleaning house and need to free up some shelf space...this GE was pulled from a working kitchen but I've never tried it myself. P7 self-cleaning. Free to a good home! -Cory

Oh, so beautiful! I wonder if the GE emblem was color-keyed to the doors on these. Probably not, but it goes so well with the turquoise door.

If the serial number is accessible on this beauty, would it be possible to get it for purposes of identifying the year of manufacture?

This one is earlier than most I've seen; I'm guessing 1965 or maybe even '64. But knowing for sure would be a nice addition to the knowledge base around here.

Thanks!

Sandy, check the second pic, I think that's what you're looking for. I'm curious on year as well. I'm thinking '65ish

Well, Duh!

I never thought to scroll through the photos.

At any rate, according to the date finder, it's a '65; that's the only year that uses the "AY" prefix for the serial. The date finder does not show a way to determine the month for an "AY"-prefix serial number.

1965 it is.

....You just come closer, LOL.

There's still an Iowa in the Winter - it's just more interesting to drive to.

Looks like I have the arrangements worked out!  Wahoo!!!

Now all I have to do is find a new house with a 60s kitchen - but then the tough choice - all turquoise Frigidaire or all turquoise GE...
