Has anyone seen or used a new SQ TL? Do they still have SS tubs, straight vane agis, 210 stroke, solid tub. Or have they gone by the wayside with corkscrew agis, cheap parts and built by cheap labor made to be thrown away in 5 years like so many of our US appliances today.

Just wondering.

Speed Queen:

Speed Queen still has the stainless steel tubs with a straight vane agitator and with the famous 210 degree stroke. Don't know about the longevity but it looks like it might last a little longer than 5 years. You can see them at their web site at alliance group or just type in Speed Queen.com. I my self would like to try one either a front or one of their top loaders. DanF.

Generally Reliable

However expect a new seal kit worth about $200AUD plus labour at between 7-10 years.

Other than that, and the acrylic rather than porcelian paint, they go for ever.
