Service manual

I too am desperately seeking a service manual for Miele W1918. Any links, please?

If you need one because you own the machine, you could have luck and find it in the front panel of your machine, because you won't find them online. Miele has always been strict about service literature.
I think your model has (can't say for sure, but I think it should have) the hinged front. If you open the drain pump cover, there should be a little black rubber pipe attached to the little door. If so, follow these instructions. (But no warranty on anything I say!)

Remove the top by removing the screws at the top back (2 or 3 screws). Slide it back, lift it up.
Remove the dispenser drawer and the screws around the dispenser drawer. (1 to 3 screws)
Remove the 3 bolts around the door boot.
Unclip the little hose and its plastic end piece of the pump cover.
Remove the 2 screws (one on either side) of the control panel. They are hidden under little plastic covers you have to simply take of.
Peel back the door seal of the front facia.
Then, the whole front should simply swing open with it being hinged on the right side.
In the door you'll find the machienes control boards and, usually, some service literature in a clear plastic cover.

1900 Series Manuals Are Out There

Lord knows Miele USA seems to be less and less thrilled with service calls on anything before the 1200 series, so why not let persons learn DIY.

Personally the service manuals seem wanting in that they do not give (to Moi anyway) enough details. As if they expect a Miele tech would have other knowledge besides just the manual.

found one.  I downloaded one for my w1986.  Agree with Launderess about details though...but was still useful for changing out a boot and diagnostics.
