Fairly common

Up North actually, that's a James dishwasher, you also find a Universal range with a rolling cart where the dishwasher would have gone.Universal was IMHO one of the best built gas ranges ever, Made by the Cribben and Sexton Co in Chicago.

Wow!  Hard to find the range with the James dishwasher still in it, for sure, but the price is a little rich for my blood...

A friend locally lives in an apartment building where one of these stoves/dishwasher combos has been stashed for years.  I've always wanted to get my hands on that DW.

I thought Robert had a James. If so, there is one saved. The washing principle was interesting, but not effective unless all food soil was removed from the dishes before loading because, while there was a filter around the long impeller, there was no back-flushing provision so food that got stuck in the holes tended to stay there.

Mike (dishwashercrazy) has one for sure.  I saw it in operation back in '09 - it's a really neat washing system.
