While I was going through whirlpool, and maytags site to see if there was anything new. I spotted a new model in their laundry lineup. The agitator is very intersting. From a certain angle it almost looked like a speed queen agitator and a fisher and paykel. This design is very intersting to me.

Popular in Mexico for a while now, I think.

Too Gentile...

I'm sure there will be a video on YouTube soon but I cannot help but to guess that this will have the same lackluster turnover of a wash plate model just with more water. Besides just having small vanes they are too thick to move water properly.

Isn't that the agitator that Whirlpool also uses on its commercial HE washers? Looks very similar.

So which is it?

Odd. Their photos seem to show two different agitators. One looks like a post mounted to an impeller plate, while the other appears more like a traditional one-piece unit.

Unless it uses more than the Tsp of cold water:

It's predecessor used it won't be worth a damn. Even more so if they haven't fixed the cheap, shitty control boards. Sorry but WP has pulled some real boners in recent years.
