I was gonna say me thinks the 1970s GE dishwasher took the place where the combination washer/dryer was.

Yes I agree with Appnut

Last time I checked-

A almond colored GE DW is not a Turq. colored GE W/D combo.

Thus the seller is missing a piece of the puzzle!

And either someone goofed and misquoted the price or the seller has reconsidered and lowered the price. Either way the price currently on the CL listing is $500.

There could have been a combo washer-dryer at the end, or it could have just been a base cabinet. Many people would not have wanted laundry equipment in the kitchen. I've seen various configurations of these GE Kitchen Centers, with either wall ovens like the brochure shows, or under the cooktop - or no oven at all. I doubt these were stock items, but rather manufactured to order. Would be interesting the see the GE dealer catalog for these.

Thought this isn't something I would imagine wanting and using, it's really striking, it's cool, and I know that sounds contradictory. Thanks for posting this nice example.
