what's up with this articl?
does this mean that for a good period of time, KA dishwashers were actually built by Emerson?
Maybe that's why they didn't completely suck when Whirlpool got them, cuz Whirlpool wasn't involved in them right away.

Sounds like WP got the KA name, Emerson got the factories.

WP had a source of product with KA name, till production switched over to WPs facories?

So this explains the KA products for a brief period of time with the In-Sink-Erator (Mereson) name.

Or was the Emerson name a stepping-stone for WP to get KA and avoid legal hassles?

Clear as mud. LOL

This is when ISE dishwashers were on the market that were siblings of KA.

SUBJECT: RE: Genealogy of this DW (KD 21 series with a different " skirt" )
MESSAGE: This late 80's In Sink Erator machine is really a Kitchenaid with a different door latch and slightly different controls. During the time that KitchenAid was undergoing ownership changes, Emerson electric played a part, and so for a period of time these machines were produced to satisfy some internal agreement(s)/requirement(s) between the companies.

So.... When did Hobart stop making dishwashers for Kitchenaid?

Were these DW and TC factories that Kitchenaid sold off, really Hobart factories?

Hobart is still around...
