The set would not be stereo-that didn't come until the later fifties.Unless they converted this set.Somehow I don't think a stereo cartridge would work in that older TT.

Rex - right, no stereo. This one has both top and bottom (as some members here have), but I'd be happy with just the lower non-stereo half. I like the Drexel cabinetry - not gaudy looking.

With the Magnavox Windsor-at least HIGH quality mono-beats crappy POOR quality stereo anytime.I would mean those Stereos with the dopy IC amps and tinny 6" speakers!Yes,the lower half with the speakers, amps, and tuner,TT would be the most useful.Sadly the TV can't be used unless you have the converter. You could say this unit was certainly an early home entertainment center or home theater.

Hello Phil,

I know you've been interested in a Windsor for awhile now. I can't open the link but I'm sure it's very nice. I apologize for not answering your email message but things aren't going all that well, As I'm writing this I'm in Eisenhower Medical Center here in the Desert. At least  I've moved out of the ICU so that's a good thing. Wish me luck and a Happy Easter to everyone.

My deepest apologies for thinking opposites. We all care when misfortune and health issues happen.

I can't pull off a Windsor buy right now, so no worries.

Best wishes, Happy Easter Joe - we're pulling for your return to better health.

sorry!
