Ok as you guys know I am having and still having teething problems with a brand new zanussi lindo machine, I am sitting here at work thinking that the drum should not be bouncing back and forth after the washer distributes the load, and begins to ramp up during the spin. Thinking about this does this mean the front feet still need to be adjusted to lower the machine, that section of the kitchen floor is on a bad slant that drops back. So come on get thinking help me out here, I wanna get this right. The other issue I forget to tell you is the work surface the machine sits under is fixed, So you see what I am working with.

Bouncy bouncy

Hi.

If your not happy with the machine then I would go back to retailer and quote the sales of goods act of 1979. Goods must be described of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose.

Have a look on the Internet about the sales of good act.

I hope you are able to get this sorted.

Paul

Please post a video if you can to help us see the issue.

As I've advised in the other post this doesn't sound right. Though I don't think the best springs are being used in these machines I would not think that Electrolux-Zanusdi would put this on the market, it sounds more like a faulty machine. After my experience with Flexidose I was put off the brand.

All I asked for

Hey LOOK all I asked for was, could the washer still be on a bit of slant that drops back. As the machines drum bounces back and forth when the load is distributed, then the drum starts ramping up to spin only for the drum to spin back and forth. why do I feel like I am being got at here. I just want to cover every angle before I call the store for and engineer, So please dont get at me I can do nothing with the floor.

I don't think anyone is getting at you.
Unless you can improvise and level the machine you cannot make a decision, there are not always easy fixes for this type of problem and to expect us on here to come up with a simple black and white answer is unrealistic given that we haven't seen your floor or machine, my kitchen floor slopes in two directions and it took me some time to get a level base sorted for my machine.

So have a think about getting the machine on a level surface and testing it there before you make a decision about it being faulty.

even if the floor is on a slant, especially towards the rear....no reason that you could not put a board along the back only to raise that part up, you DON'T have to nail or screw it in place, just something like a 1" x 12" and how ever wide you need it to go across, may be enough across to make the dryer sit at the same level.....I don't see them walking to jump off of a board like this.....

had to put one set at a slight angle towards the back as the dispensers would not empty completely...at perfect level, they didn't work right....but none of this affected the machines function otherwise....

depending on how far of a pitch, you may have to go with a 2" x 12".....

I have a 2" x 6" placed behind my machines, only because they slide backwards every time I go to close the door, this keeps them in place, but not for leveling purposes....

No one is 'getting at you' but we are unable to provide a solution here. So perhaps it's best you deal with the manufacturer here.

In my view, videos are always great to allow others to see what you are talking about, but maybe in your case it's not good to ask for this. Good luck with sorting this out.

I understand your frustration after several issues prior to this I just think it's hard for people to mentally visualise.

I have a brand new AEG which the Lindos are based on and they are very generous with out of balance spins. The drum can move front to back slightly and side to side. I have a video of my YouTube but it doesn't capture it brilliantly. If it is very violent and you're really not happy about it I'd get an engineer out.

Newwave1,

How did you find the Hotooint Ultima machine that you had with it's drum and stability? I find my Hotpoint Smart to have a very stable drum that doesn't really move very much. When we had a Zanussi Flexi Dose Zanussi the drum used to really move a fair bit.

The 2002 AEG we had really used to rock the drum and the drum made contact with the glass on very heavy loads but the engineer did not deem the machine faulty . Simply replaced the glass and the machine worked for 9 years. It only got replaced as the electronics started playing up but mechanically it was a sound. But the suspension was very soft.

Thank you Darren

Ah thank you Darren for being so understanding my friend, I really didn't understand what was going on with this machine. Now with you comparing it to the A E G machine, yes this is what is happening as you stated in your last message. regarding the suspension being too soft, the machine does settle down and the drum will stop bouncing back and forth after about 10 to 15 seconds. My intention now when my holidays from work come up on the 20th of April, I have to spend an hour maybe 2 hours and settle this problem by studying how bad the floor is slanted. And do a work around solution on the 2 ceramic tiles the 2 back feet the machine is sitting on, and be meticulous is getting the machine completely level. This is difficult as the counter top the machine is under is fixed, and the flat/apartment is rented so no I am not allowed to do any adjustments to the fixtures and fittings. So should my efforts fail then I tried, then I will see advice from the store and get and engineer to step in.

Are you on a first floor or above. The suspended floor will really not be helping the issue!

I wouldn't lose heart with the lindo, they are the more forgiving machines available that will actually spin!

Aeg03 my ultima was awesome at spinning and Span first time most times unlike the aqualtis and indesit I had before it! Even when I bought it I lived in a first floor flat and it was grand!
