Hi All,

Found this very rare Kitchenaid dishwasher on Ebay in Australia. They must've been imported at one stage.

Another one came up about 2 years ago now, over in Melbourne.

It seems these dishwashers were produced for the foreign market, as the member who picked it up (ian_p61) mentioned it had both hot and cold water inlets, as well as a maximum electrical load of 2400w (suggesting it could completely heat its own water, which was common for Australian machines then, and even now) when I discussed possibly grabbing it from him.*

The bigger dream for me would be to find a GE Potscrubber 2800. Our member Rapunzel (Olav) owned one of these for a period of time. From what I understand, the machines weren't marketed very much, and cost a fortune for the time. I imagine the KitchenAid offerings wouldn't have been much different, and were intended for a very niche market (The homes of the well-to-do Australians of the time).

*In the end, this didn't happen. The distance is much too far for it to be worth driving, or freighting the machine, in reality.

That dishwasher has been pulled from E-bay. If you use the initial link you are sent to another "related" item.

You can view the original listing, by following the links on the page. It appears as if the dishwasher may have been relisted...

In any case, the link to the present listing is below:
