Hello everyone,

My W1986 is leaking where the pump meets the housing that contains the lint catcher. I lose about a cup or more of water per wash. I took the pump out last night but after pulling the red tab, I was unable to separate the pump from the housing.I turned it 90 degrees which is supposed to release it but it stayed attached. Am I doing something wrong? Also is there some sort of gasket I can make to fix this leak? I don't want to buy a $400 pump when there is nothing wrong with it besides a leak. Any help or suggestions?

Thanks in advance

Pump removal

I had a w828 which is similar.

When I was inspecting my pump, the motor was released by pulling the tab, rotating the motor counter clockwise and then wiggling (when viewed from the front)

The seal for this pump is not separate.
Let me know what you find with photos please.

Here is a picture of my motor and the seal is not on the end face but along the side.
