This is a flair "look alike" oven/range made by Tappan and is local to me for a good price.
Can anybody tell me about the difficulty of getting parts for it? I have always like the eye level, dual oven arrangement of the Flairs, but I can't do electric, and this unit is gas. Other comments welcome - pitfalls? issues? This just posted 4 hours ago and I'd like to move on it as soon as possible. Thanks AD: "This is the same model of the famous range from Graceland that Elvis cooked on! Wonderful if you would like a retro kitchen!! The burners work but only high and low, the oven does not work all the time, the browning oven on the right works fine. both fans in the exhaust on top of the unit work fine, the clock does not work. Has exhaust fans on top. Measures 25.5 deep, 36.5 high and 40 wide." CLICK HERE TO GO TO scoots's LINK on Chattanooga Craigslist |

Fabulous range! :-) My sister had a 30" electric version that was original to her home, but the oven thermostat failed. After some quick checking of NLA parts sources I knew of, we were unable to locate a replacement and she had the range removed and cabinets altered to accommodate a freestanding range.
There does happen to be a 40" electric on our CL now, for a good price even, but electric. Several of these have come up within the last year or two, perhaps parts won't be too daunting should you need them. Original clocks can be rebuilt, gas valves can be rebuilt, etc. CLICK HERE TO GO TO gansky1's LINK on Omaha Craigslist |
