My KitchenAid KDS-16 dishwasher suddenly decided to not use water anymore. I replaced the fill valve a few months ago after the washer would not stop filling with water--after the fix, worked great. I took apart the new fill valve, saw a little lime and cleaned what I could with Lime Away... but find it hard to believe as new as it is that our water--usually soft--clogged it with sediment. After the cleaning, same problem.

In trying to diagnose I noticed the cycle sequences would act odd (for example, the quick rinse would immediately go to drain and then dry within 30 seconds--no water action). Could have been a result of the out of sequence button pushing and door opening/closing, I don't know.

Looking for any ideas on how to get the water flowing again (things to check/test, parts to check/replace). Thanks in advance!

Sounds like a timer issue from what you are describing.
