Okay.....

There a several of these "Whirlpool Duet Washer Review" videos coming  from these ditsy young women.

They all seem to have the same washer with the pedestals, and also the tops for the washer and dryer that you can get from Whirlpool.

I kept thinking that this was some kind of audition to get a free washer dryer set if you can upload videos to Youtube that Whirlpool was promoting.

This video really makes me wonder!  She really "works them".   I am also wondering if this is promoted for house wives....or husbands.  Seems like a 1950's live ad campaign!

I truly hope I am wrong.....

I think this was a field demo program that Whirlpool did to generate buzz. Seems all these women are affiliated with some highly followed blog of some sort. Unfortunately, most of these posters know very little about the product and possibly less about the art of doing laundry.

Malcolm, "the art of doing laundry", well said.

Yeah, Whirlool gave away several of these TOL sets to have them reviewed. Obviously, Whirlpool should have chosen members from here.

My model has the same features.  She is demonstrating either the WFW98 or the same model as mine WFW97.  Was also wondering if she wasn't more prone to demonstrating her cleavage rather than the washer.  Glad mine isn't nearly as big, but I bet mine's a lot furrier.

I actually do like the way these new duets perform. I have the updated model with the newer knob styles. These things do make some cool sounds!

Your guys are Horn Dogs!  LOL!

When I said she really "works them"  I was not talking about the W/D.

I actually laughed at the beginning for 15 minutes last night.  I wondered if she practiced!

Her Dryer review is a little bit more informative.

Her "vocal fry" makes this nearly unwatchable. "Load the washerrrrrr". Ugh. Next audition.

I suppose you could mute the sound and just watch the breasticles bouncing about, but not for me. Lol

Get your Duets yet?

Can't wait for your Demo!

Yes, had to replace the door latch unit but the washer is working just fine. Running through a Citric acid soak now to clean it out, then I can start to play.

I don't think this is a normal house person using a washer. I mean why is Affresh or whatever it is shown on the the washer while she is talking. I think this is a marketing hype type of thing and I don't like it because it is made as if it is a regular person is talking about her washer. You can even hear a kid in the background. What does she mean that you don't' sort by color but by load size and then says color is still important. In other words they want to get the point across that the machine will determine the load size.....business commercial SCORE.....real consumer ..... FAIL.

The washer may indeed be good, but after seeing this video I would not be inclined to buy it based on this video that looks like a sales trick to me. I might by it after a real consumer used it and posted a video or someone from this site did a video and talked about the washer.....but this is not that.

I think she was trying to have the Kim Kardashian thing going. That combined with the voice......ick.

Greg that is a great looking washer!

Have you opened up the bottom of the dryer? I was wondering if it was filled with lint? I have to clean my 27" every year due to the lint under the dryer.

What cycle are you running in the picture? I could not tell. Can't make out what your cycle lights say. Near the top is lit and the bottom is lit. Is it the secret clean cycle?

I think you are going to really like this set a lot. I love the color. My other favorite color at this time was the burnt orange. Not sure what they called it back when it was out.

Just started on the dryer late last night, as expected, it was packed in tight with lint. Obviously a bad vent as both the washer and dryer were pretty clean overall. The pump tray had a dime, a penny and a small unicorn sticker and nothing else. No goo or bio-hazard build up at all. There was some evidence of oversudsing dribble from the washer vent on the back and down the cabinet, but not much.

I used the long soak cycle (35 min) and added more hot water with a hose up to the glass. I used two affresh tablets, then ran a double Skin Care rinse & spin. Fresh as a daisy now, but it wasn't stinky or moldy to begin with. I'll probably run another rinse routine with a cup of bleach before washing in, mostly for psychological reassurance :-)

Although I would love that washer. Speaking of Duet Dryer Lint - YES!!! after a few years I took the bottom front panel off the dryer just because I was curious and I couldn't believe the amount of lint. I vacuumed for an hour and it's hard to get in places so I used my Rainbow vacuum to blow out hard to reach areas. AS I was doing this I was thinking I'm probably one of a very few people who would do this.

It just seems weird that the lint can get into all these areas that it shouldn't really be getting to.

That lint build up is common even with a good vent run.  My HE3 Gas Dryer and an older Kenmore Gas dryer looks like this after just 1 year of use.  I don't understand it.  I clean the lint constantly after each large load.  Leave some of the lint on the screen if it is very light.  The dryer is always more packed with lint than the vent run outside.  It must be something to do with the design of the front blower.  I have always thought it had a very low volume flow of air even when clean.

Sounds like the washer is now clean as new!!

Lint accumulation inside the dryer's cabinet is not related to the filter, it's related to how well the various parts are joined and sealed together.  My SmartLoad had a bit of stray lint accumulation in the cabinet after 10 years of use but it wasn't as much as I expected.  I added some foil duct tape to a couple interior connection joints when I reassembled it so will be interesting to see what's the effect the next time I need to open it up.

That is a great idea Glen!  Although I love this dryer and the "low flow" air design....It does get clogged up with lint over time.

The exhaust vent tube and fan duct are all painted black in the "new" KM HE4 dryer I just brought home. When I was cleaning and checking it out last night, I peeped into the tube from the back and could see light all around where the fan duct and straight tube are connected. I used some foil tape as Glen mentioned. The previous gas Duet I had ran for four years on about 8-10' of 4" metal rigid duct and there was only a light coating of dust inside the lower part of the machine, barely worth using a swiffer duster on.

Greg that is so interesting about your gas Duet that you had not having lint after 4 years of use.

Perhaps I need to to the tape from the blower to the exit as you did.  I also have a rigid 4" that is

about 6' long.  I know the tape would help the dryer inside, but I don't understand about the actual

rigid outer vent.  Curious about this one!
