Anyone take a guess at what model / year this Duet set is?

Thanks!

Brent

They look like the 2 last designs sold here in the EU. They've been sold here between 2009 and 2012 I think. Alex (logixx) has one of these.

They want $250 for the set.

They are moving and need it gone by the middle of the week.

Thinking about it but if anyone else wants them want to let you know.  CL Atlanta.

Thanks for the info!

These looks very similar to my set. The buttons and dial on mine are white instead of silver. The washer pictured has a "quick wash" cycle mine doesn't have. The sanitize option on mine is on the temperature selector button, not on the dial. I think my baffles are slightly different, but similar. I also don't have a sanitize cycle on my dryer (what's that about?).

My set was purchased in late 2008, and was TOL. I suspect the ones in pictures are newer than mine. I have been very happy with them, except the washer needed a new motor about a year or so ago.

~ Hi Retro Girl

Sounds like an interesting set you have.  My original Whirpool set built from Sears (HE3T) was purchased by me in 2001.  A lot has changed over the years with the designs of the units but everyone seems to really like their machines.

I must say that you are the first person I have ever heard of that needed a new motor for the washer.  I have never heard of this before.  Was your replacement under warranty?

Brent, no the machine was over 5 years old by then so no warranty. It started giving me error codes and refusing to finish the load. Anyway, the repair guy told me Whirlpool had changed the motor used for the machine and he was installing the updated one. Anyway, I was skeptical that the motor was the issue, because the machine still worked sometimes. But the new motor did the trick, and it's been working like a champ since then.

Great news that your Duet is running like a champ.  Sucks that you had to pay for the new motor and labor.

Interesting about the motor.  Wonder if they decided to go to an updated motor or use the older tried and true motor and call it "updated".
