Today on CL HAWAII HILO,I found this set not too far from me. I have a local customer on need of a stackable full size with a gas dryer. I'll check out both but the owner,a local cop, said the washer is completely dead. The control panel won't even light up when plugged in. Sounds to me like a loose wire or connection somewhere. Between me and Jim, we'll figure it out and, order parts if need be. My unit is out of service. The pressure hose broke off the switch and caused a little flood during a final rinse. It had gone on a shaky spin which,in turn, broke the PLASTIC post the hose slips into and gets locked on via clamp. The part the clamp holds the hose on to is the broken part. Not the hose. So the 8800s and top loading WT1101CW are my current daily drivers and the Westinghouse top loading Laundromat two speed for rags and real dirty work clothes. Works great for a 1973 real Westinghouse top loader. I need to get off my.butt and get the Bosch and Miele Touchtronic machines back on track. The Bosch does everything except clockwise tumbling ,just counter clockwise four seconds, full stop for a minute and a ualf, then counterclockwise again. It drains but won't spin at all. Never witnessed this happening before. May be either the brushes or a capacitor. The Miele was stolen from me then found at a local party where my friend saw it and got the thief so drunk he blacked out. Once he was down for ten, they hoisted the heavy, heavy washer by putting their hands into the opening lifting it up onto the truck. Now,the tub scrapes the rubber boot as it tumbles and spins. No idea whether it can be realined or not without having to replace its drum. Everything else is great. Got a nice buy on a rarely ridden Rahley twenty one speed touring bike. $80!!!!!! Going to the West coast to pick it up tomorrow. A four hour one way bus ride to Kona.
