Hi there,
welcome to the site, I hope you have a wonderful time here and always feel free to ask whatever you want. Now, I don't know much on Electrons, a user named 'matchboxpaul' will be able to provide a lot of useful information on them, but for basics, most Electrons were released from I think 1979 to about mid 80s?? The most common models are the 'Electron 1100 De Luxe', Electron 800 and their exclusive derivatives (Electron 800/1100 Dual Spin). Here is a picture of a Hoover A3350 'Electron 1100 De Luxe' Electricity Board Shop model (1985/86).(Apologies to the user for using your picture). Have fun, Brandon :)

Hi hoovermad I love Bendix too! (Amongst most brands) Where did you get your keymatic from as I've been searching for about a year now... I'd love videos of your machines too? |

Other than the machine that you previously said that you have what others do you own? And do you have all of the documents etc and did you have to do much work on them? |

Hello and welcome
I have a the first Electron which was the A3190, Mathew from Cardiff has an A3060 which was the first Hoover 1100 spin machine. I have used mine as a daily driver for a bit over 2.5 years now and love it, they require basic maintenance from time to time, most parts for the motor, suspension and tub you can still get. They are easy to work on if you have some experience, there are people on here who can help you out with advice etc. this is a picture of my Electron 1100 and the matching tumble dryer in my living room before I installed them Gary

Hey Luke! Welcome to the site, nice to see another young person (My age!) here!
I've got 11 washers, 5 dryers and a collection of vacuum cleaners. Mainly to the title of the thread, one of those washers is a Hoover Logic A3790 (1300 spin). As for dating Hoover machines, I think that the first digit after the model number is the year (You need to know the decade), and the 2 after that are the month, I think thats how it works but I'm not an expert on Hoover machines! I'll grab some pics of my Logic later on :) Chris |

Too bad about the condition of it. I do know how to get the tiny parts of rust of without damaging the rest of the pain if you wanted to know? |

Yup, its a shame, the previous person who owned it thought they could do some touching up here and there with some cream paint....sadly it didn't turn out as they wanted it to! I'm going to try and strip it down and either respray the cabinet myself once sanded down etc or just strip it down and send the cabinet off to a proffessional resprayer, depending on costs etc.

Hi Luke
A lovely machine to have. I have 2 Hoover front loaders - an A3060 which needs a new bearing and seal and an A3668 which needs an anti-twist kit fitting. Years ago I did have an A3260 which I gave to a friend of mine. The door release broke so someone tied some string on it so you could open the door. The picture showing it before the kitchen was redone was when you had to put the drain pipe in the sink. They had an American lodger for a while who wasn't used to such primitive ways and she forgot to do that and flooded the whole kitchen! The machine died not long after that and was replaced by an LG intellowash. Look forward to hearing more about your machine when you get it S :) S :) |

Hi sesteve, are replacement parts recently made or are they from about the same age as the machine was being sold? |

Well I can only presume so, I doubt that with the amount of paint they used on it to presumably cover up the rust, that they would have thought it wasnt worth selling in a poor cosmetic condition. Either way, it works and holds a lot of sentimental memories, and thats really all that matters :)
Pic attached of it on its final spin, 1300R/pM Chris |

Welcome Luke, you will find a lot of Hoover information and pics around here, good solid reliable machines and like others have said above, with parts easy to keep working...I do like the wedge control panel, have the 800 spin model.

I'm sure the majority of Hoover machines of that style were standard height (85cm), slightly narrower than standard (58.5cm) and moderately deep (56cm). |
