Jimmy's slowly teaching me to part out some appliances 'cause he knows I just don't have the room. We couldn't bring home the whole unit, so here are two consoles I just couldn't leave behind.

Joe, I have the whole Custom Deluxe dryer saved for you. This one was only a Deluxe model. Yours is a Custom Deluxe washer, correct?

Those were my grandmothers Frigidaires

Only hers were coppertone - replaced them in early/mid 90's with a GE set which she just replaced the washer with another GE last year - Wish I was out of the laundry closet back then as they would never have gone to the crusher :(

Great machines and thanks for posting the pics.

Jim

Hi Rich! Glad to see you got the items unloaded. Need to expand a little on the parting out of some appliances. Before members get the idea that things are just being thrown away, that is not the case at all! Some machines are pretty rough, rusty, dented, missing parts or all of the above. If by parting out a washer and you can repair another 5 or 10 machines from the one you parted out, I say go for it. It is kind of useless to have garages full of broken appliances, when just by parting one out many others can live again. Think of it kind of as the organ donor system.......It took three washers just to get my one Philco Blades of Water washer going again (and its broken down four times since I first got it going!) Three broken Philcos may be nice to see for a while, but the ONE restored and working is giving me much more joy and ROOM for other stuff then having three rusty broken ones........ I respect others wishes and desires if they dont agree with me, and save everything. Its just not the way I look at it. And STILL I have too much and no room for more! LOL~!~ Jimmy

I think so. Oh yea. I definatly want to get the dryer for sure. My washer has the wite knob on the controls and the blue stuff under the timer. My comuter is messing up and I can't pull up my pics to see if it is a custom delux or delux though.

Rich I hope you parted out the CD washer at least. Those rapid dry 1000 CD machines seemed to be kinda rare, Steve 1/18 has 1 if not two. Maybe someday .....

I agree 100%. Some of these babes are just past helping. Then it is better they give what they can to spare others from the same fate.
'Course, if I had the space to keep everything, I might not think that way.
