Great condition washer. Bought it brand new 4 years ago and it still works great, but we are getting a bigger one so need to make room for the new one.

Speed Queen frontload washer model AFB50RS. Bought in 2009 for $1600 brand new and took great care of it over the years. It is commercial grade so this will last a lifetime probably.

Just because the cabinet is larger does that necessarily mean that the cylinder is larger?

It's 4 years old and they love it, but they're selling it for 1/8 of what they claim to have paid for it.  Hmmm... 

 

I say they're either not being truthful about what they have or they're not making a smart choice.

They are prolly going for one of the monster sized washers out there.
Yes the cylinder is larger.
Even Speed Queen upped their capacity this year. But not by very much.
I think people wash blankets a lot now or do huge loads.
That would be my family as we carry it down four flights to the laundromat and the bigger machines don't add too much in cost.
