welcome to the world of Neptunes.....that's a touch panel version, internal heater and higher spin speeds....with Stain Brain!
but a return valve, you got me stumped on that one....can you get a bit more detail as to what its not doing, or what this valve should be doing.... the only thing I can think of as far as valves on these, is the solenoid inlet valves, and the set of solenoid valves that controls which dispenser needs water to dispense.... |

Hey Yogi!
I'll ask the seller when I collect it tomorrow what the issue is. Return valve has me stumped lol! Ohh cool what spin is this then? I can't wait to get it. My long term plan is to replace the door with a windowed one from the commercial stack dryers! Darren

Neptunes from the 3000/4000/5000/6500 series all spun at 1000rpm......that was their big claim to fame of that thousand speed spin......I have brochures here somewhere of when I bought one of the first ones...
the 7500 went the step further with the 1200.... I miss the JET sound of the 3000 taking off for spin....wish they still did that, but it was a matter of being silent..... |

Service manual I have for MAH3000 dated May 1997 states max spin of 800 RPM +/-50 RPM (per "optimum" spin performance). Same is stated in a revision dated Nov 2003. Supplement dated Oct 2000 for MAH5500 and MAH7500 states LED model (5500) is 800 RPM +/-50 RPM. LCD model (7500) is 1000 RPM +/- 50 RPM. |

Could you check that brochure? According to AJ Madison it's 1000rpm.

Hey guys,
I can confirm that the machine is a 1000rpm machine! It has a heater and lots of conversation cool features. It was a little grotty but nothing a little clean up wouldn't fix. Darren |

Cool! It even has a coversed programming for the EU market, which really really makes me love the machine. What's the max temp you can select? |

Don't forget there is a stabilizer in the door, you might get balance issues faster if you put a door with a window in it.

My first proper wash in the Neptune.
Can anyone tell me how to disable the door lock to open the door and see the action until I get my door idea sorted? I've seen videos on them operating with the door open on YouTube! Darren |

you mean like this?......
this was a matter of finding another door, and either make a cut out like mine, or just the top portion with the section that goes into the latch and will hold the switch in so the machine will operate..... |

Hey yogi!
I plan to do something very similar yes! I'm tracking down a door from one of the commercial stacks that you have on your dryer. I've put a link to a video of a members Neptune. He's holding the block in on the door that tells the machine that the door is closed but something must be wedged in to make the the machine think the door is shut? Thanks Darren CLICK HERE TO GO TO Newwave1's LINK |

No he is just holding the button in with his thumb, while resting on the machine. That button tells the machine the door is closed and will operate that way. Jon |

that's because the machine in the video is a 4000 series, only the button had to pushed in, on the Digital 5000 and up series, its a solenoid activated switch, and theres another sensor/switch to detect the actual door it closed....
you can bend and place a coat hanger to push in the plunger to simulate the door being closed, and then push in on the button.....but you do have to sit there the whole time and hold that button in.......note: you can't just let go, you have to press the pause button and wait for the door to unlock before removing that hanger and letting go of the button... |
