And I don't have to cut metal to get one.  Check this out.  Kitchen Aid is coming out with a dishwasher with a window!  Now this might actually be a modern machine I would consider.

They have been discussed on here several months ago.

I think the average opinion was nice idea, but not perfectly executed.
It does have an interior light, but it can only be turned on if no cycle is running. It only shows the upper basket, which might cause consumers calling for service as they have alternating wash arms. Further, you might not want to show off your dirty dishes.
And technology wise, there were questions how fault prone the sprayarm would be. It's motor driven AND geared. And what about if someone drops a pot or pan on that window?

Chach-- I like the look of the window model with interior lighting, too. As frivolous a feature as it may be, I miss the lit interior of my previous LG dishwasher. Also of interest is KitchenAid's new wash system with its "nine wash arms." Looks a bit like a drone.

Testing?

Has this wash arm been tested or reviewed yet? Not sure why there seems to be a need to reinvent the wheel, still I am interested in new technology.

From what I've been able to research, these models aren't going to be sold until July.  As of early this week, no consumers have reviewed any of them on KA, HD, Lowes, or Sears web sites.

I've seen stronger pee streams.

If people are worried about others seeing their dirty dishes, they could put an electronic film on the window. Power to window? Glass clear. No power to window? Frosted opaque glass.

I've seen this technology on shower stall doors, bathroom windows, airplane windows, etc.

I just named the concerns that I remebered to be announced back then.

As far as I know, the door is tinted rather dark so you can't see through unless the interior is lit.

And on spray pressure: That is a picture. You can't tell pressure by a picture.

Now you can complain about the lack of pressure (though I actually like the spray pattern and coverage).
I crave those racks. Something about their industrial basket look makes me go crazy.

Ah, ha! You can't have the light on inside the machine while it is washing to see the dishes being washed. I think that would kill this machine for this group.

I'd want one...

If they could find a way to make a completely see through glass door, with a "knock, knock" open, like the miele.

Oooh. How Marvelous that'd be. Although... I'd probably pre-rinse everything to death, out of fear of company seeing dirty dishes inside the thing, lol.
