got these at the ReStore today, pair for $80 because the washer leaks a little :)Dryer, made in korea,is 230v air cooled condenser, has normal drain hose plus a condensate reservoir where detergent drawer is on a FL washer.Matching washer is made in china, direct drive motor like that seen on LG direct drives-1400 RPM spin,2.2 CF drum. Both have chrome rimmed window doors.Might give them a test run tonite and try to find the leak on the washer.Model of washer is WCVH4800KWW,dryer can stack on top.

Compact GE Front Load Washer and Dryer

richardlxixxx's profile picture

I have a set in my NY apartment.  They are great.  I have found that the delicate cycle on the washer uses the most water.  So, that is the cycle I consistently use for everything I launder.  The machine rinses very well and I am very satisfied with both the washer and dryer

The dry is a condensation unit.  While not as fast as a vented dryer, it does an excellent job and really does not take that long.

Best of luck with your machines.  Mine are terrific.

Richard

tested

hooked up and ran the washer-does indeed leak a little, leak coming from the flex hose from detergent drawer to outer tub-will be an easy fix :)washer adds water several times during wash as load soaks up water.Drain pump is louder and rougher sounding than most, washer otherwise very quiet and seems to do a good wash job during the 56 min.normal wash, plays a little jingle at finish.Once leak is repaired,i'll place dryer on top and give that a test, seeing how it performs against my 24"Asco condenser dryer :)
