Hey guys!

I got this ex display Siemens IQ700 demonstration model from eBay never used. It's stuck on demo mode. Does anyone know how to access the service mode on these machines?!

I have contacted Siemens and they are going to get back to me as the ENR no brought no parts or information up despite being recognised.

The closest model is the WMS14890GB though mine is a 1600rpm!

Any help would be appreciated so I don't have to wait all weekend to hear from Siemens!

Hopefully logixx maybe able to shed some light on this for me! 😁

Thanks

Darren

I'll be of no help with the demo-mode problem at all, but what a cool machine!

I found documents for a WM16S790 but nothing in there mentions anything about the demo mode. 😕 Am sending them to the mail address you put in your profile anyway.

I think you mean the wm14s890.... Could there be a child lock that is engaged? ( I think you just hold the start button until it releases)

But...found this on test freaks: "Hi,I purchased at auction a siemens iq700 washer WSF20AIMKP/01.Only to discover its for demostratiom and just does a 4 min cycle.no water no spin.Had guy out from siemens Uk but never seen one and could no help although he said all parts were in the machine to work so he assumed it was a pcb problem.. Emailed germany hoping there was a reset code but they replied only for demo do not use.The identical machine here is wm14s890. Do you think using the pcb from this machine would fix mine hope you can help"

Thanks guys!

Alex: I'm really grateful for the documents you sent! I've been able to access the test mode. Everything works but I think it will need a new pcb! Which is ok as it is still cheaper than buying a new one!

I've put some videos on my YouTube account attached

The machine lives!

How did I get to this point?

I called Siemens 3 times. Yes 3. The first two people had no clue about the machine and said they would call there technical department and get back to me. They didn't. The 3rd managed to get me an answer but was hideously rude and abrupt. I told her to send me the PCB for the model that was on sale the WM14S890GB she grumbled and said there would be no guarantee and took my £130 with no please or thank you. I put the phone down and decided I was very unhappy with the service and took to Twitter. And as always that worked. A lovely guy call Phil took all my info and cancelled my payment and sent me the PCB for free!! I couldn't believe it!

I fitted it yesterday when it arrived. What's cool is because of the way it is wired the blue strip lights in the clear drawer and the drum light remain on perminently!

The machine is fantastic! The idos is extremely clever. The sensors produce the most awesome tumble, water, rinse and spin performance and the front fill is ace! I'm pleased as punch!

I'm now getting a matching dryer and moving them into the house!

Hi Darren - I've had mine for just over a year now and it is probably the best machine I have owned! I like the fact it is so quiet - I mean genuinely quiet, even when at 1400RPM with a full load.

If you want a way to get water levels at least half way up the door, fill the machine up with laundry until the weight sensor says full, then run a cotton programme, select three extra rinses, and the machine goes crazy with water. Half way up the door on each rinse!

I've taken a few pictures for you!

Ps - sorry to steal your thread.

Chris

Here's the screen on the second rinse - you'll note that it now says an hour - that's because the machine sensed foam at the end of the first rinse and added two more on

Hi Chris! I love your Siemens pair!

I installed mine last night!

I find the hydrosensor is fantastic and I love the automatic programmes! Everything is very variable which is cool

I love the front fill as it slows down from high speed my Bosch WFF2000 used to do the same thing!

The light stays on perminantly in the washer and it is on a special box as it was a demo model! So does the clear dispenser lights that you can't see now the dryer is on top. I may raise it onto a worktop so they can still be seen

Chris they look lovely! Nice kitchen!

Washerman250: decided to sell them as it didn't have a jet as advertised and the Siemens is miles more interesting and smart with its sensors and Idos
