Those LAT Performas were the last of the true, real Maytags.

We have that exact dryer! The MD6200 I've never seen a brochure or any literature on an exact machine I have. It's like finding my name on one of those keychains at the amusement park. Rare as hens teeth ;P

An LAT/3500-2500 would be ideal to find on the preowned market.. I wonder if there are any NOS hiding out somewhere...

There might be. It seems to me that there have been at least a couple of times when people here have acquired a never used vintage washer of some sort.

even without a window. It's so funny that all of the places I've lived in my life, there was never a REAL MAYTAG anything anywhere I ever lived. I've never used a REAL MAYTAG appliance. It's always been GE, Whirlpool, Magic Chef, Kenmore.

The digital LCD readout models remind me of the same LCD readouts one would see on older photocopiers, with the distinctive blue and white displays.

Unfortunately MT sold a ton of these crappy Norge designed machines and they threw 80 years of building good appliances away and lost the entire company,.

Stupid Greedy Management and they did everything they could to blame the  union workers in Newton for their problems.

I'm so glad you posted these! This looks like the brochure from when we bought our Maytag Atlantis back in 2002. It's a MAV6300 but is identical to the 6200 in the picture so ours must have been one of those weird in between models. All it lacked was the stainless steel tub. But that washer is a fantastic machine. It ran with heavy use in our house until about 2013 when I brought it with me to Huntsville, and it went back into service shortly after at my father in law's handling five plus-sized people's laundry, and it's still running just fine! It's by far the best washing machine I or my family has had collectively in comparison to everything else we've owned.

Thank God WP saved the brand from itself. In the end the only good machines they were making were the commercial DC's. History explains why there were never any Norgetag commercial machines, LOL! The problem was not at the factory level but at the executive level where greedy bean counters demanded that shitty machines be built on the cheap to boost profits!
I remember seeing the first MT Centennial machines (DD WP with SS tub) and thinking this is the first machine worthy of the MT name in years!
