Thanks for showing that Phil! That must be a Canadian-made unit like mine. There was a similar one on Kijiji recently, a 8000 BTU unit but I didn't get it. I got this Canadian 1970-71 Imperial which was advertised for free recently (see the link). It's the smallest capacity available with this cabinet but it works perfectly. I just wish it was a few years older but for being advertised for free and without a picture, I was quite happy with what I got!

It's funny that for an extra 10 watts of power consumption, I got 1500 more BTU with mine. It's still not that energy efficient but a bit better than the one advertised with an EER of 7.6 instead of 6!

7.6 EER and 1500 more BTU's

That's interesting. I can't keep up with all the nuances that you easily keep...anyways, you're welcome. Yours is better and I like the badging id more, but the one I posted here has a nice textured panel that turns my head. These days, any a/c that works is turning my head. The heat is on in the south.

And fyi, BTU's as displayed here next to "the Man" are Bird Thermal Units. The more the cooler. ;-)

I have to say that I'm not a big fan of the plastic woodgrain front panel on mine... I've seen some ads showing decorator kits for the front panels, they probably looked better with these!

If you have your passport, you can plan a small trip to Toronto, it's just about 3 1/2 hours away from you!!
