Seen stuff like this

There's these little forgers with a brass plate which vibrates ultrasonicaly, creating a mist that looks like dry ice. They are on Amazon or ebay

The knowledge about drying clothes...

They say "As we are not heating up the fabrics, we exspect less lint".
Well, as far as I know, heat and lint are only related in a really minor way. Mechanical action would be what has to be reduced to reduce lint.

As far as I know, the vacuum dryer technology was developed by a university in the swiss. It seemed promising and the first test (protocols can be found online) worked pretty well. The estimated that they could reach an A-50% (arround the 2005 mark, that was amazing) rating.
However, further tests proofed that the systemm was pretty expensive to build and as heatpump dryers started to get into the market, the development was stopped.

On that sonic technology,I can only say: They can dry 1 single layer of fiber in 14 seconds.
A dryer has to dry multiple layered clothing that moves randomly as evenly as possible.
As far as I understand the system, the laundry has to be in full contact with the drying surfaces. Now, for example, how will the pockets inside a pair of jeans get dry? Or simmilar?
And how about cats, or birds that may hear those ultra high frequencies?

A lot of great technology worked well in small scale. Like lifting cargos with multiple consecutive explosions.
How ever, scaled up, things looked different. That's why we never launched space ships with nuclear bombs.

(And yes, the U.S. made tests about that. I think it was called project Orion.)

Interesting...

but apart from what has henene4 rightly said it would be also interesting to see how this heat-less dryer would deal with wrinkle release.
