Kevin and Ralph along with Kevins brother and sister visited with us this afternoon, it was Kevins birthday and his Sisters was yesterday,I cooked a big meal and we made a pound cake for Cavalcade of Food,The dishwasher is running for the second load today,The old Kelvinator  baked nicely, im very pleased, our friends Jerry and John came to lunch also, Jerry,,"Easyspindry" as always entertained us with his court reported stories,All in all a wonderful day!Im tired, but its a good kind of tired, the house is all dusted and cleaned so I can be LAZY for a few days...Cooking for a crowd is so much fun!!!Kevin and Ralph are just as great in person as they are when you see them on Cavalcade of food, I think everyone had a great day.

Sounds like all went well, then, Hans. Looking forward to your episode of Cavalcade. Happy birthday, Kevin!

John, I'm sure you'll have no problem convincing Team AW to cook up a storm and put those dishwashers to work. Loads of fun!

Hans- we can't thank you two enough for a wonderful afternoon!! I can't remember the last time I ate so well and laughed so much! All the dishes you treated us to for lunch were outstanding - my brother went on about the squash casserole so I will have to get him the recipe! Jerry and John are delightful!! Thank you for introducing us to them!

Your beautiful home was the perfect spot for us to spend time, enjoy your great cooking, share our love for our collections and celebrate! I can't think of a finer birthday! We will have that pound cake episode up in the next week or two! The Kelvinator baked beautifully!!

John - would love to be a part of a cooking party at the museum! What fun that will be!

Thanks again Hans and Donald for having us over!

Hans and Donald . . .

. . . lunch yesterday was fantastic. John and I were so full when we left, neither of us had anything for supper. (And for John, that's a big thing.)

It was wonderful to meet Kevin, Ralph, Greg, and their sister. What nice people!!!

Thank you for a wonderful afternoon.

I'm already looking forward to the Lefever museum meal. What a great time that would be!!!!

Thanks again for a wonderful afternoon.

Jerry Gay
