I'm into items vintage and this washer has been one killer beast.

It's a '62 Maytag Washer and has been diligently running 2-5 times a week for the last 9 (yes, NINE!) years without so much as a hickup. In fact it Still works! So what's that, 53 years?

Bought it, brought it home, connected hoses and haven't moved it since.

Started to leak water- at approx 1/2 gal per cycle about 6 months ago. A few weeks back I noticed a bit of oil residue as I continued to do laundry wringing out towels.

Pulled the washer out, and found a sticky dark ring of oil on the floor. Maybe a transmission seal, I don't really know. The thing works and cycles but leaks too much to keep using.

If you know anything of old washers text me. This monster just keeps going and I would prefer to have it fixed. ( some things made in the past just prove themselves)

If interested text or call.
True vintage with a list of patent dates on reverse to 1961. Can't say how many times it has sparked comment and conversation with the first words of friends seeing it asking 'does it work'??
Yep.
$75 cash only / you pickup
Thanks! "

Nice washer! The lack of a money shot probably directly correlates to the lack of porcelain in the basket. (just to make combo52 smile ;-)
