Hi forum family,
This is really a long shot but I found the vintage KA dishwasher that would be perfect for my kitchen but it's 5 1/2 hour drive away one way. I was wondering if there were any members near Shaler or Pittsburg Pa that may travel south from time to time? I would be willing to pay you for your time and travel to pick up this machine and bring it a little closer south (I live in Virginia).

Again, I know it's a long shot but thought it wouldn't hurt or cost anything to ask. Thanks for looking!

Here's the link to the ad for the KDS:

Nice Machine!

Looks like the MUCH coveted KDS-18. Just about the most popular KitchenAid model ever!
And the Avocado Green is a refreshing colour to see this model in, although it would have interchangeable panels of course.
Hopefully someone from here can help you out. But if not, it's a great machine and looks like it's in very good condition, so it would probably be worth the trip if you can do it. And you mentioned it would be perfect for your kitchen...... ;)
The seller seems open to negotiating too so you may get it for very little $$$ which would also help pay towards your travel expenses.
The value of a genuine Hobart KitchenAid cannot be overestimated. Especially when well kept and in good working order.
I recently acquired one and ONLY because of this site and the influence of the amazing Members. And I LOVE it!!!!!
I wouldn't have thought of 'updating' my DW's at all, let alone with a Vintage KitchenAid had it not been for this site, the stories, the pics, and the overall ratings from the Members.
But I'm sure glad I did. They are a treat to own and a joy to operate.
