Hey there folks.
As we may all know modern washers don't really reach the set tempreture you've choosen on the dial, i don't think anything good about it, what do you think?.

For that reason i've made a comparison video of my 2011 Miele W1613 Novotronic and my old 1994 AEG Öko_lavamat 6450 Sensortronic, to see if they actually heated the water to the set tempreture. The Miele is washing a load on colours on Cottons 60'C, and the AEG is washing a load of 3 beddings on Cottons 80'C.
Heating Power on the Miele is 2100W, and the AEG has 2850W heating power.
The tool i've used is Digital infered termometer to measure the temp.
The AEG was set to 80'C and reached 81'C, and the Miele was set to 60'C and reached 62'C.

On our Miele W5741, the only cycle I've seen that refuses to reach the set temperature time and time again is Automatic Plus. Originally, it would reach the (maximum) 40º setting without hassle.
Now, some change in its logic means the best you get is about 30º - I've washed some loads near the cycle's rated capacity, and some lighter loads without change. I am completely stumped on this.

So I just resort to having to make smaller loads, if I wanted anything other than the "Intensive Tumbling Rhythm" on the Cottons cycle.

I leave the temp set on Hot wash but by the time it is filled, 20 gallons later, my Maytag 511 is warm in the tub, which is fine. I know its because the boiler cant keep up to make the hot water with the well pump trying to keep a charge in the water lines. If I stop the washer, wait until the boiler kicks on, I can get really HOT water. But I am not going to wait for that and dont really need it.

 Well the same also applies to the "Automatic" prog on my W1613, most times the temp peaks around 30-35'C depending on the load i've seen as high as 39'C.

I think it has something to do about how the washer senses the load E.G big og small absorbent an so on, on Cottons prog, it sometimes dont reach the choosen temp and sometimes it does, it all to do with the sensing phase at the begining of the cycle.
